WHAT IS FORREST YOGA?

Forrest Yoga is the most intelligent and therapeutic system of yoga I've encountered along my yoga path.  Developed by Ana Forrest, it is a physically intense system of yoga with an emphasis in connecting to one's feelings and sensations in the body in order to work through physical and emotional healing.  Each class consists of breath work, core work, hot series, standing work, warm down and final resting pose- savasana.  

The Four Foundational Pillars of Forrest Yoga are:

1. BREATH ~Learn to breathe deeply and connect in feeling with your body

2. STRENGTH ~ Connect to your core to get strong and centered; flush oxygenate and rejuvenate every cell; challenge yourself to heal and grow

3. INTEGRITY ~ Feel authentically and respond honestly; integrity in physical alignment to facilitate emotional and energetic alignment; become aware of the areas you are stuck physically and emotionally and systematically work through and explore your blockages to access truth in your life

 

4. SPIRIT ~Access your intuition; deepen the relationship with your authentic self

Anyone can practice Forrest Yoga regardless of strength or flexibility.  The sequencing is intelligent, it feels good in the body, releases tension, and is deeply therapeutic in nature.  

Forrest Yoga teaches you to connect to your core, breath, and feeling in the body to access innate wisdom and truth through this deeply healing and rejuvenating practice.
